Currently, I am a postdoc of Professor László Pyber at the HUN-REN Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics in Hungary.
From November 2025 to April 2026, I was a Research Scholar at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in China.
From April to October 2025, I was an LMS Early Career Research Fellow hosted by Professor Colva Roney-Dougal at the University of St Andrews in the UK, with financial support from the London Mathematical Society and the Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research.
From January 2021 to March 2025, I was a PhD student at the University of Bristol (UoB) in the UK supervised by Professor Tim Burness and funded by the China Scholarship Council.
From September 2016 to July 2020, I was an undergraduate at SUSTech under the supervision of Professor Cai Heng Li. And then due to COVID-19, I spent another 6 months at SUSTech as a visiting student before moving to Bristol.
The name "Hong Yi Huang" is only used for papers and research profiles (to distinguish myself from millions of "H. Huang"). Please call me "Hongyi" in any other case.
